Temperament
The Shihpoo is curious, joyful and affectionate. For the most part they enjoy the indoors and staying close with their families. This happy, designer breed makes and excellent lap dog.
Health
The Shihpoo’s may be prone to ear & eye infections. Other health concerns to watch for are:
- Intervertebral Disk Disease (IVDD)
- Hypothyroidism
- Diabetes
Coat & Coat Care
The Shihpoo coat is fine, long, straight and can be hypoallergenic.
Daily brushing will help eliminate any dirt and prevent their coat from tangling or matting. It is also important to keep their eyes and ears clean to help prevent any irritation or infection.
