Temperament
The Maltichon is energetic, loving, friendly and intelligent. They enjoy spending time with their family. This breed does well with children & other pets. They are very social and love people.
Health
The Maltichon life expectancy is between 12 – 16 years. The Maltichon breed have a few health concerns to watch for are:
- Patella Luxation
- Heart Disease
- Diabetes
- Allergies

Coat & Coat Care
Their coat is usually thick, curly and/or wavy and soft to the touch.
The Maltichon has fine, dense hair, so it is important to brush daily with a firm bristle brush. This will help to prevent the hair from matting because it will remove any excess dead hair or dirt. Clipping every 6 – 8 weeks is also recommended. Bathing this breed monthly will help to maintain their soft coat.
